Wanted to contact you concerning the lettering in the original TSR Deities and Demigods, particularly the Melnibonean lettering. I want to create a font based on the style. Any information would be appreciated.
Hello Martin, fellow lover of letters,
I would be most happy to help you if you could remind me of what the letters look like. I don’t have a copy of “Deities and Demigods” to refresh my memory.
Thank you, D
I have a sample, but I am unable to attach it to this reply. Here’s a link to the first page at the top is the script in question. If you need a better copy of the lettering, I can send you an attachment.
I responded to your query via post: http://darlenetheartist.com/?p=37
Check it out.
Hello Darlene, and fans,
I acquired a very early painting done by Darlene. It is done in 1970. on a masonite panel and the subject matter is a basket of red onions, quite nicely painted. You may have been a junior or senior in High School.
I have been undecided as to what to do with the painting, and after doing some research and believing it was done by you, I thought I would prefer to contact you and find out your feelings.
I could re-frame it and hang it in my kitchen, I could donate it to my local Human Society thrift shop (where it would sell for just a few dollars), I could send it to you, Darlene, if that was something that might be important to you, or I would be willing to sell it to one of your fans who perhaps wanted a piece of art from your early years. Any thoughts on what you might prefer, Darlene?
