After many years of research, DARLENE achieved a superior Enochian font by returning to its original historical sources. She measured, compared, and contrasted two popular modern versions of Enochian (GD & AC) with the earliest appearance of the alphabet in 1588.
Her research discovers how sharply the modern versions diverge from their origins. The fruits of her research appear in the book, “The Ophanic Revelation: Angelic Science and the End of Time.” The sans serif version of the font that appeared in this book was developed specifically to reveal the basic structure of the letters. This version retains the widths and features of Kelley’s alphabet.
Ophanic Lineal is the type font developed from this alphabet. Like all her type designs, the Ophanic Regular font is strong and graceful, artistically sensitive yet structurally precise. Restoring some of the original features of the alphabet has the added effect of increasing their dowsable energetics. As a practical concern, DARLENE created the width of each letter so that it could fit nicely within a square format.

- DARLENE has deep knowledge of letterforms. Her thesis for her MFA (Indiana University, 1987) centered on the design of alphabets and letters. The 68-page book she wrote, “Type & Calligraphy, A Brief Survey of their Relationship,” compares the two disciplines in a timeline. She discovered that the greatest type designers and the greatest calligraphers worked in the same geographic area at the same period of time.

This 32-page pdf from The Ophanic Revelation includes PART ONE and PART TWO of DARLENE’s 2009 research of the ophanic alphabet. The first part contains a rigorous analysis of the letterforms (see below). The letters as originally drawn are compared to the Enochian fonts devised by the Golden Dawn and Aleister Crowley.
